Meet Your Doctor
At Austell Eye Care, we provide comprehensive eye exams, ocular disease diagnosis and referrals, soft contact lens fittings including multifocal contact lens fittings and co-management with other doctors.
Dr. Sonya Patel, OD
Dr. Sonya Patel is an accomplished optometrist who graduated from the University of Georgia in Athens with a major in Biology and a minor in Spanish. She graduated from the University of Alabama at Birmingham's Optometry School in 2016 and actively participated in the Student Volunteer Optometric Services to Humanity (SVOSH), undertaking a transformative optometric care mission trip to Nicaragua. She still enjoys traveling and is currently a member of the American Association of Corporate Optometrists. Her diverse experience in both private practice and commercial settings has equipped her with comprehensive skills in providing exceptional eye care services while forming meaningful connections with her patients. With her expertise, linguistic abilities, and compassionate approach, Dr. Patel continues to make a positive impact in optometry, promoting eye health and delivering personalized care to her community.
